Liquorice Whiskey Sour


  • 2 ounce Straight Bourbon Whiskey
  • 1 ounce licorice syrup
  • dash angostura bitters
  • dash egg white


Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass.

Garnish with grated licorice root.

*Licorice syrup can be made by boiling 1 cup water and 1 cup caster (icing) sugar.  When it boils add 3-5 sticks chopped licorice root.  Bring back to boil.  Cool and strain.
